Chicago Addresses

Swami Vivekananda's September 11, 1893, address at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago, his first speech in the United States. He spoke on the validity of all religions, and the methodical, intelligent approach of the practices. His speech was so successful it resulted in a tour around the country to explain the teachings of Vedanta which sowed the seeds for Vedanta in the West.
