Imagine living with a constant, lingering private struggle, while performing in front of the world.
In her talk, Jabrea will discuss the three steps in self-transparency that can improve mental health among our youth. Jabrea is a high school senior. She also is the President of her school’s Black Student Caucus, a member of the National Honor Society and Golden Eagle (School) Ambassador.
In the past few weeks, my journey took an unexpected path but one that has taught me so much and helped me grow. I learned a couple of key lessons.
The thing is to understand myself: the thing is to find a truth which is true for me, to find the idea for which I can live and die. That is what I now recognize as the most important thing.
