Bia Labate

Beatriz Caiuby Labate, PhD, is a Brazilian social anthropologist, author, and an executive director of the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines. Her main areas of focus are the study of plant medicines, shamanism, and ritual, and highlighting the political issues faced by the Indigenous tribes of the Amazon who are the guardians of the sacred medicines she studies.
