Joanne Cacciatore, PhD, is an American psychologist, professor, researcher, and grief counselor. She specializes in counseling those affected by traumatic death and is the founder of the MISS Foundation, an international nonprofit that helps families whose children have died or are dying. As an advocate of “green” mental health care she opened the Selah Carefarm, which is the first therapeutic care farm in the world specializing in animal-assisted therapy for traumatic grief.
