Mihály Csíkszentmihályi, PhD, (1934–2021) was a Hungarian American psychologist who created the concept of “flow,” a highly focused mental state conducive to productivity. He is noted for his work in the study of happiness and creativity and for his years of research and writing on the topic of flow.
