Muktananda (1908–1982) was an Indian author, guru, and speaker. He began his spiritual life at an early age as a sadhu in India under Bhagavan Nityananda and, in the 1970s, brought his own brand of yoga, focused on kundalini and shaktipat, to the West as Siddha Yoga.
Essays and dialogues laced with wit and humor introduce seekers to Siddha Yoga meditation, the awakening of the kundalini energy, the recognition of the inner self, the function of the master, and the practices of Mantra repetition and meditation.
