Paramahansa Yogananda (1893–1952) was an Indian monk, yogi, and guru who introduced millions to the teachings of meditation and Kriya Yoga, with special attention to spiritual principles of yoga meditation and its connection to world religions. He was known as the “father of Yoga in the West” and disseminated his writings and teachings through his organization, Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF).
