The path of the Buddha is called the middle path because, as well as avoiding extremes of behavior, it avoids two extreme views.
Can we be discerning about whether or not we acted skillfully, without deciding that praise means we have nothing to learn, or any blame at all means we've failed utterly?
And that in essence is what unplugging is about -- not hating our habits of news consumption or social discourse -- but being willing to experiment with our time and attention, the core treasures of our lives.
When we think about generosity, most of us probably don’t think immediately of a powerful force, an inner resource, a real tool for changing how we relate to ourselves, to others and to our world.
