Asian American and Pacific Islander Well-Being

The “Asian American and Pacific Islander” designation encompasses a wide range of identities. While many of us see this term as another example of equating and erasing the unique experiences and traditions of a vastly diverse population, it can also be helpful in finding the shared struggles, strengths, and wisdom found in the broader Asian American experience, especially in a time where hate and ignorance is equally indiscriminate. Our pursuit of well-being frequently centers on finding the balance between internal and external expectations of belonging, of fighting assumptions about our past or background by living the fullness of who we are here, today, ourselves.
