Aromatherapy is the therapeutic practice of using essential oils to promote physical and emotional healing and improve feelings of well-being. Essential oils can be diffused through the air, massaged into the skin, or worn in accessories, and they have traditionally been used as a complementary therapy for such physical challenges as headaches, nausea, insomnia, and anxiety.
The short answer is that essential oils come from plants. Plants create essential oils naturally and store them in tiny molecular sacs. There are tons of reasons for this, like attracting bees or other pollinating insects or repelling pests. They’re useful!
