Chronic anxiety can exist in a person’s life for many different reasons and can manifest in many different ways, from constant worry and rumination to physical unwellness and emotional overload. Frequently, sufferers of chronic anxiety have oversized worries about health, work, money, family, and other issues that seem wildly unfounded to onlookers. Whether diagnosed as Generalized Anxiety Disorder or merely experienced as a persistent (and daunting) emotional presence, chronic anxiety can negatively affect a person’s overall quality of life, limiting their abilities to do the things they deeply wish to do. However, there are many tools and strategies that can help calm and control a mind’s natural tendencies toward anxiety, allowing those with chronic anxiety to thrive.
