If identity describes the answer to the question “Who am I?,” then emotional and mental health can be summed up as the answer to the question “How am I?” Our thoughts and feelings have an incredibly strong impact on our overall well-being, and gaining a sturdy vocabulary for talking about them is essential for taking ownership of our health. Mental health is affected by conscious behavior choices (such as intentional thought patterns) and the biology of our brain’s neurological structure, and emotional health is affected by our ability to identify and accept all of our feelings—even the ones that don’t feel so good—in a productive manner. We’ve started gathering valuable information on this topic, but haven’t yet curated the findings.
