Insomnia

The agony of insomnia can leave us feeling emotionally adrift and worn out. Not being able to fall asleep or waking up in the middle of the night only to stay wide awake can be a symptom of a physical ailment or something else taking root in our lives. Often the stress or fear of being unable to sleep compounds the problem, setting up dangerous cycles that leave us exhausted and feeling hopeless. Understanding what may be causing insomnia can take some digging, but finding the source can open up avenues of healing in many more ways than expected.
