Jewish Renewal refers to a recent movement within Judaism (begun in North America during the 1960s countercultural movement) to reintroduce more mystic and ancient traditions to synagogue services. The Jewish Renewal movement has appeared in many different denominations around the world and embraces pacifism, egalitarianism, and environmentalism.
