Light Therapy



Light therapy is a treatment prescribing exposure to artificial full-spectrum light in order to gain the healing power of sunlight. It is most typically used to combat seasonal affective disorder (or “the winter blues”) but has also shown to be helpful in treating sleep disorders, depression, and (in some cases) bipolar disorder, and exposure to red light has been shown to help heal skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis and also slow the skin’s signs of aging.
