Personality Disorders

“Personality disorder” is a loose psychological definition for a set of persistent behavioral and emotional traits that differ from social norms and expectations, usually in ways that make interacting with others more difficult. There’s a range of diagnoses that fall under this label, such as paranoia, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder (BPD), narcissism, avoidance, and obsessive-compulsiveness. The origin, diagnosis, and treatment of all of these conditions is highly varied, as this field is studied from the perspective of prevailing cultural expectations, which is essentially subjective. However, there is still a proven range of effective options available for improving our relational health from within a personality disorder diagnosis.
