The root chakra, or Mūlādhāra, is found at the base of the spine and is the center of our emotional and spiritual balance, and instinctual consciousness. This chakra provides the foundation for our life and is responsible for whether or not we feel grounded. Signs that our root chakra is blocked may include feeling quick to anger, lazy, or self-conscious. The root chakra also provides energy to our other chakras, so if our root chakra is blocked, the others likely are as well.
