Sacred Feminine

The Sacred Feminine, or Divine Feminine, is the concept of an archetypal feminine energy that exists in all things, a counterpart to archetypal masculine energy. This energy consists of traditionally feminine qualities and traits such as intuition, collaboration, compassion, nurturing, and heart-centered wisdom. Within spiritual circles, there has been a resurgence of interest in the practices of matrilineal cultures honoring the Sacred Feminine, which are seen as less restrictive than the Father-God belief systems that have dominated culture for thousands of years. Many seek out the Sacred Feminine as a means to balance the male-centric aspects of modern-day society, challenging the strictures of the patriarchy by bringing a more collaborative and inclusive mindset to bear in their lives.
