Self-realization is the journey toward fulfilling a large measure of one’s own human potential. Eastern cultures recognize an added and essential component of spiritual transcendence—an embodiment of the “higher self” that moves beyond ego. Digging deep within oneself through self-awareness, self-exploration, self-compassion, and self-mastery opens an avenue to removing fear, separation, and suffering, allowing ourselves to live to the fullest expression of our souls.
