Vulnerability



When we are vulnerable, we are left open to the possibility of being harmed, taken advantage of, criticized, or rejected. Vulnerability can make us feel intensely uncomfortable, so it’s something we usually try hard to avoid. But accepting and embracing vulnerability remains the key requirement of intimacy and deep personal connection. The courage and willingness to voluntarily risk rejection by opening ourselves up to others can be found in a practice of self-love and acceptance of our own self-worth.
