Young Adult Well-Being

Young adulthood often begins with taking on the responsibility of our own well-being, and it frequently comes with a series of discoveries that the assumptions we’ve formed about our lives may not be true. From aspects of our identity to our religious beliefs, from our pursuit of education to building our careers, from finding new communities to forming deep relationships, we can run into a near-constant stream of new experiences and information that confront our previous perspectives. And as we come to a new understanding of ourselves and the world, we can encounter tension with the expectations and desires of our parents and elders. While we can feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the prospect of the future and our place in it, especially as we inherit a world that is facing significant global distress, we also have access to the power that comes from wielding our newfound authenticity for the good of ourselves, our community, and our Earth.
