Virginia Satir in Action

The following is a clip from "The Clinical Artistry of Virginia Satir," part of Psychotherapy Networker's Webcast series, "Creativity in the Consulting Room." This episode features therapist and PTSD specialist Steve Andreas with moderator Rich Simon, and includes a clip from a therapy demonstration with family therapist Virginia Satir. In the clip, Viriginia works with a woman who had demonized her mother and idolized her father. By having the woman do a regression exercise where she explores her reasoning as child and the successive conclusions she made as an adult, the woman is able to come to terms with her relationship with her mother.
