Body image is defined as one’s thoughts, perceptions, and attitudes about their physical appearance. How do you see yourself and feel about your body (e.g., height, shape, and weight) when you look in the mirror?
Pregnancy causes many changes in your body. Some of these changes can be difficult to deal with or very uncomfortable. Also, after giving birth, your body may take a while to get back to the way it was before, or it may never completely return to the way it looked before pregnancy.
As a model, I feel a responsibility to support young girls and boys who struggle with body image and self-esteem. Words and images deeply impact the way we view our bodies, and the consequences can be very damaging.

When I said I was struggling, people would tell me I was beautiful. The world had drained out all the metrics of measuring beautiful and replaced it with scales and calorie counts.
Awake girls might be a little angry. But they know that the poison is outside, not inside. And they'll work to clear the air for all of us.
