Our Stories: In Vivid Color is a multimedia initiative to amplify the lived experiences and dreams of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) women, girls and gender non-conforming youth, ages 14–24, across the United States and Puerto Rico.
After Reggie Bullock’s sister, Mia, a trans woman, was tragically murdered in 2014, Reggie made it his mission to spread awareness about issues facing the LGBTQ community.
Asserting that the body is the main site of oppression in Western society, the contributors to this pioneering volume explore the complex issue of embodiment and how it relates to social inclusion and marginalization.
June 28, 2019 marks the fiftieth anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, which is considered the most significant event in the gay liberation movement, and the catalyst for the modern fight for LGBTQ rights in the United States.
