for mothers

There are many different experiences of motherhood that can be defined through biological, legal, and social relationships. But however we approach it, our identity as a mother carries enormous—and often conflicting—cultural expectations and assumptions that can impact all other parts of our identity and easily overwhelm our sense of self.
