In this yoga tutorial Flo is guiding you through a energizing and cleansing breathwork practice called kapal bhati (kapalabhati) pranayama. This breathing exercise (breathwork) is very powerful, cleansing and energizing.
It is ideally done in the morning before or better after your yoga asana practice, right before meditation. Kapal bhati is also often known as breath of fire and literally creates a lot of heat and energy from within. Kapal bhati means shining forehead which is due to the cleansing effect of this technique.
This pranayama is for all levels, Flo is guiding you through all the little steps. Make sure you have about 15 minutes of time available, some pillows to sit comfortably on the ground and an open mind. If you're in any doubt of this breathwork is right for you, consult a doctor first. However it is not uncommon for people to heal their breathing issues with ancient breathwork from yoga like this one.
