Are you living with brain injury? Are you experiencing brain fog? Are you totally brain tired? Do you know someone with brain issues? You are not alone. Begin the conversation. Feldenkrais® and BrainEase. We all experience brain issues in our lives. They affect us directly and indirectly as we assess our self and those around us. Acknowledgment, compassion, and tenacity are necessary to take the initial steps in this lifelong walk. Along the journey, there are many paths. There are times when you step into a vast abyss feeling lost, and in another second, clear walking trails bring moments of ease where everything flows with a returned sense of being "normal". In an ever-changing terrain, the ability to function in daily life depends on integral brain cells working at any given time. Live the motto, "Be kind to yourself". Nancy speaks of her own brain injury resulting in "foreign accent syndrome". Wandering through the brain fog, experiencing brain exhaustion and participating in the care of family members brought her to a deeper understanding and awareness of how common these issues have become. She attributes the Feldenkrais Method® as her personal resource, contributing to her ability to create the lifestyle changes necessary to cope with the differences and facilitate continued healing. The Feldenkrais Method® and BrainEase help to provide movement pathways and avenues toward personal responsibility and awareness. When we understand how to assess what we are doing and observe continuing patterns, we are able to make changes. Once this happens, the world of options opens up. Everything is more difficult when we lose a sense of who we are, our posture sags and we are falling. When we experience brain issues, suddenly we understand how posture, balance, and movement are essential components for personal ease. The outcomes of posture changes and balance issues are fears of falling in both subliminal and obvious states of being. These issues tend to be elusive and many times are the foundation of difficulty. Nancy shows us how to recognize our changes, giving us the tools to reconcile some of the difficulty and find tenacity within our self. Begin to look for the path of least stress and participate within the parameters of peaceful living in easy to assimilate processes.
