Cynthia Bourgeault



Cynthia Bourgeault, PhD, is an American Episcopal priest, writer, and retreat leader. She is best known for her teachings on Christian contemplative and wisdom paths and is a longtime advocate of the meditative practice of Centering Prayer. Her work has a major emphasis on the Christian mystical tradition of theosis within the Benedictine monastic tradition and the practical training in mindfulness and conscious awakening as shown by the teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff.
