Professor Otto Scharmer of MIT presented at the 33rd Annual E. F. Schumacher Lectures in New York City on November 9th, 2013. Scharmer spoke on the necessary transition from an ego-centric economy to an eco-centric economy. Dan Levinson, chairman of the board of Schumacher Center for a New Economics and founder of GVI in Westport introduced the Master of Ceremonies for the event, Judy Wicks, who is the co-founder of BALLE and Philadelphia entrepreneur of White Dog Cafe fame.
