Neurofeedback started as early as the 1960s when researcher Joe Kamiya experimented with the Alpha activity (8–12 Hz) in the human brain. The results, which were very promising, inspired many other new experiments. Nowadays the fact that humans can learn to alter their brain function, by using an EEG, is virtually undisputed. This video is an example of a neurofeedback session. Former patient Tax receives a therapy session as a treatment to ADHD. He, his father and his therapists comment on how this treatment can be beneficial to ADHD/ADD patients.
