Many of you in the comments have told me you struggle with bulimia & have asked if that is in fact what they are going through. Today I talk about seven (of many) need to know facts about bulimia. I hope this helps you better understand what you or someone you love it going through. 1.
Bulimia or bulimia nervosa is an intense cycle of binging and purging behaviours. I'ts an eating disorder which includes taking in high-calorie foods and then purging, perhaps by vomiting or using laxatives to get rid of the food.
Eating disorders are serious and often fatal illnesses that cause severe disturbances to a person’s eating behaviors. Obsessions with food, body weight, and shape may also signal an eating disorder. Common eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder.
