A group of young Americans from various racial and gender backgrounds discuss some of the most controversial topics regarding racial and gender identity and discrimination.
Racism has not been eradicated, despite the enormous strides taken over the past fifty years. It has mutated into new and subtler forms and has found new ways to survive. The racism in organisations today is not characterised by hostile abuse and threatening behaviour.
This is a meditation meeting for people of color and their allies interested in using the Buddhist principles of mindfulness and compassion to help work with and understand how to be AntiRacist. JoAnna will share wisdom and experience on topics that are pertinent and immediate in the country today.
Few modern voices have had as profound an impact on the black identity and critical race theory as Frantz Fanon, and Black Skin, White Masks represents some of his most important work.
