In this video, I share teachings about working with periods of darkness and the underworld. “The dark night of the soul” is a state of mind where everything seems lost and hopeless. In these moments, it can feel like we are dying or that parts of us are already dead. These archetypal experiences are very common in the lives of spiritual practitioners on the path of awakening. It can be scary, even terrifying, at times as we descend into what feels like hell. However, these challenging moments are often followed by huge breakthroughs and a profound rebirth that often leads to more courage and wisdom. Learning how to understand this intense process is key to getting through it with grace and dignity. In this video, I share about my first trip to the Peruvian Amazon and how I faced my own terror and darkness.
