Drawing on personal experience of working as a clinical psychologist and yoga teacher, Alicia Ray talks about the mind’s tendency to run on autopilot and how she has found that spending time outside in nature can balance out the impact of stress, broaden our perspective and increase a sense of wellbeing. Inspired to encourage others to mindfully connect with nature, Alicia started an outdoor yoga class in Cornwall three years ago. She talks about how the yoga community have motivated her to keep the practice growing and have taught her that a connection with the environment leads to increased awareness, a sense of belongingness and a more positive mindset.
