We come to meditation to learn how not to act out the habitual tendencies we generally live by, those actions that create suffering for ourselves and others, and get us into so much trouble.
Necessity being the mother of invention, it struck me that contemplation didn’t depend on a particular practice.

In becoming more aware of our own mind, we become more aware of those around us, too, ensuring that harmonious relationships are very much part of our own personal journey to health and happiness.
Training the mind, meditating, being mindful, or whatever else we choose to call it only works if we actively engage with it. More than that, it only works if we practice it regularly, preferably on a daily basis with a considered, gentle discipline.
