A panic attack can happen when a person has high levels of anxiety. Anyone can have a panic attack. Sometimes, these attacks are a symptom of panic disorder.
In 2004, ABC News correspondent Dan Harris was broadcasting live on the air on Good Morning America when he started experiencing a panic attack.
When panic and anxiety symptoms escalate into anxiety attacks and panic attacks, it may be an anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorders include generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and panic disorder.
