I had the distinct pleasure to interview renowned Shamanic Practitioner, Teacher & Healer Sandra Ingerman. Today we discuss her upcoming Sounds True course, based on her 2018 “Medicine for the Earth and Healing with Spiritual Light” workshop, where a group of dedicated shamanic practitioners set an intention to make space for those who would take the online course. In this discussion, I ask Sandra to share her definition of transfiguration as it relates to Shamanic practices as a major theme of this 8-week online course is transfiguration. According to Sandra, "At the heart of this training is a practice that I call transfiguration. This is literally the act of “healing with spiritual light”-a classic way that shamans work in healing ceremonies. The understanding behind transfiguration is that our authentic nature is spiritual light. We are beings of divine light clothed by our body and mind-and this is true of every creature, substance, or energy in the physical world. As we let that divine light radiate through us like a shining star in the night sky, we stimulate the light in our loved ones, others around us, all in the web of life, and the Earth itself. What makes transfiguration so powerful? I believe it is because this practice embraces the feminine principle of healing by being instead of doing. You’ll discover how to drop all labels, fears, and even the sense that something is “wrong.” As you let go of any need to cause change, change occurs-because this releasing allows the light of divine perfection to shine through. It is this light that is the true source of all healing."
