In most cases, playing video games is a simple way to relax and unwind. For some, however, the compulsive need to spend time in front of the game screen becomes troublesome enough to affect their ability to engage with the rest of their lives. Symptoms of an addiction to gaming can be difficult to recognize, and games these days are often designed to be addictive. As with all addictions, though, there are multiple forms of treatment available to help moderate the problem and create a healthier relationship with gaming.
