Whether it’s aiding the victims of natural disasters, wars, and famines, or helping refugees seek opportunity and prosperity in a new country, the goal of humanitarian aid is the betterment of those who have found themselves in extremely difficult situations with very little ability to survive without help. It’s not easy to persevere in the face of massive tragedy, but many feel called to alleviate the suffering of others while helping them to maintain a sense of dignity.
