Many of my peers and I have been experiencing some more-intense-than-usual academic burnout—here to put my thoughts out there and hopefully help people feel less alone.
Carers are particularly vulnerable to feeling stressed, worried and worn down by the vast demands that often come with caregiving, be they physical, psychological or emotional.
When teachers care for themselves deeply and deliberately, they are better able to care for the people that matter most in their lives—their students, friends, and families. Practicing Presence focuses not on doing, but rather on being present in the life of the classroom.
