Emotional Intelligence (EQ) articles

Below are the best articles we could find on Emotional Intelligence (EQ).

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is generally understood to be the ability to identify, process, and manage one’s own emotions and the emotions of others. Popularized by science journalist Daniel Goleman in the 1990s, EQ is understood to have several main components: self-awareness, self-regulation and motivation, social skills, and empathy. The idea of emotional intelligence assumes that just as some of our brains are attuned to process math or language or music at different levels, we all have different baselines for processing emotion. However, just like with math or language or music, we have a great capacity to learn, practice, and grow our emotional skillset, regardless of our innate talent levels.
