Crystal bowls are a specific type of singing bowl made of quartz crystal. Singing bowls are idiophones, instruments that produce a vibration and resultant tone when struck, shaken, or scraped. Depending on the size of the bowl, the tone is varied (lower tones for larger bowls, higher tones for smaller bowls).
