Mantra Meditation



Mantra meditation is a form of meditation that is focused on the silent or spoken repetition of a word or phrase to anchor attention and awareness. Whether you choose a Sanskrit mantra like Sohum (“I am”) or a phrase that doubles as an affirmation (“I am peace”), the goal is to find the words that help cultivate awareness of the present moment. The mind will wander, as is natural, and the use of a mantra helps to draw the attention back to the present.
