Spiritual Fasting



Spiritual fasting is the practice of willfully refraining from eating for the purpose of attaining greater spiritual access and enlightenment or as a sign of respect, devotion, or worship. Spiritual fasting is a practice that is part of many religious traditions around the world, either as an individual or communal practice, often occurring at specific times of year and involving a set of rules that must be followed about when and how to break this fast.
