Letting Go

“Letting go” is how we describe the release of mental and emotional attachments, giving us space to discover new joys in life and to unwind patterns, relationships, or circumstances that cause pain and suffering. Some view mastery of “letting go” as having no attachments to anything at all; others see it as having the capability to control our attention and energy to whatever we choose to be important, instead of our attention and energy being at the mercy of our feelings and circumstances. While learning to let go can be incredibly challenging, it is crucial to the process of self-actualization and growth.
